Credit asset manager Golub Capital has announced the formation of its insurance solutions team, a new division focused on enhancing the firm's relationships and offerings to insurance company partners.
Leading this initiative, Jennifer Potenta (pictured above) has been appointed as managing director, head of insurance solutions.
Potenta comes to Golub Capital with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Her previous role was as senior managing director and global head of private fixed income and alternatives at MetLife Investment Management, where she managed over $120 billion in private debt and equity investments tailored to the needs of insurance companies.

The establishment of the insurance solutions team marks a step in Golub Capital's long-term strategy to develop the Investor Partners Group. This development is also aimed at addressing the unique investment requirements of diverse investor segments on a global scale.
The firm, with a history spanning 17 years, serves over 120 insurance clients, providing tailored investment solutions across debt and equity sectors.
Craig Benton, senior managing director and head of the Investor Partners Group at Golub Capital, emphasized the role of the new team.

In addition to forming the Insurance Solutions team, Golub Capital highlighted its recent entry into insurance capital solutions with its involvement in Ruby Reinsurance Company (Ruby Re), a reinsurance sidecar vehicle initiated by Reinsurance Group of America (RGA).
