A Massachusetts insurance brokerage has announced that it has appointed customer service expert Michael De Placido as vice president for its employee benefits program.
 
In a statement, USI Insurance Services said that the firm looks forward to improvements in its customer service initiatives as De Placido lends his expertise to program development in the company.
 
“Michael is an important addition to the USI New England region and employee benefits practice,” said Joseph Fico, USI New England regional chief executive officer. “In his role…Michael is responsible for executive and strategic oversight of marketing processes and negotiations with carriers on behalf of his clients and in support of (USI).”
 
De Placido’s industry experience spans the development and implementation of customer focused services and strategy. He is also an acknowledged employee benefits expert as he has helped guide enterprises with the design and implementation of insurance programs as part of employee compensation.
