OneDigital Health and Benefits recently announced its acquisition of Maryland-based CT Hellmuth and Associates as part of a consolidation strategy to expand its presence in the middle market.
CT Hellmuth is expected to bolster the employee benefits firm’s footprint in the Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland business area to 110 employees and a portfolio of 3,500 clients.
OneDigital said in a company statement that the company also expects to benefit from the client service strategy of its acquisition.
“Our selective consolidation strategy remains focused on teams and capabilities that will thrive in a culture built on innovation and collaboration. When your focus is building for the long term, it is acquisitions like this that help solidify our foundation,” Mike Sullivan, OneDigital chief growth officer, explained.
CT Hellmuth president Jim Hellmuth added: “These are exciting, and to say the least, rapidly changing times for the benefits industry. We are thrilled to have found a like-minded organization that will expand upon (our) leadership position…in the Washington DC region.”
Upon integration, Hellmuth will report to Chris Schutt, regional managing principal for OneDigital mid-Atlantic.
