Commercial insurance writer CNA recently announced the appointment of Song Kim to a vice president position at the firm’s Orange County and San Diego branches, according to a report from PR Newswire.

In his new capacity, Kim will lead relationship management with producers, deepen CNA’s market presence, and help evolve the company’s portfolio of mutually profitable business lines for its partners. He will be directly supervised by Steve Marohn, senior vice president, and Western Zone officer.

“Song’s strong leadership and extensive experience in commercial underwriting, producer engagement and portfolio management make him the ideal candidate to lead and continue strengthening CNA’s producer relationships in our Orange County and San Diego Branches,” Marohn noted in the wire report.

Kim has extensive experience in the industry, having worked in insurance for more than 20 years. Prior to joining CNA, he worked as an executive for Zurich North America where his responsibilities focused on health care, financial services, technology, manufacturing, general industries and international segments.

In addition, he holds a BS Finance degree from the University of Central Florida. He is a certified Casualty Claim Law Associate.
