Property and casualty program manager Charity First announced that it is transitioning its non-profit and social services business lines to Nova Casualty. Nova Casualty is a member of the AIX Group and enjoys an XV rating from analyst firm AM Best.

Charity First said in a statement that the move will allow it to offer higher limits for umbrella and sexual abuse coverage.

“The move is very exciting. It comes as part of (our) commitment to continuous improvement, and it brings a number of benefits to the program we offer independent agents and brokers and ultimately the insured,” Charity First executive vice president Riley Binford said in the statement.

“We feel we have one of the best products available for agents and brokers to offer non-profits,” Binford added.

Further, he said that the company is confident that with its workers’ compensation coverage, the firm will be among the few non-profit programs providers that offers comprehensive coverage to their target market.

Meanwhile, AIX Group president Robert Schultz also noted that “the transition will significantly expand our ability to provide coverage and capacity in the non-profit and social service sectors.”
