The business of insurance can be a challenging one, with a softening market taking root and consolidation with no end in sight – but it’s also never been better. It’s also the focus of the upcoming November issue of Insurance Business America, which highlights the accomplishments of elite agencies who took on the challenges the industry had to offer and came out stronger.

Since 2001, IBA publisher Key Media has been recognizing professional business teams around the world, and this year the US Elite Agencies report is celebrating its third year.

So, Insurance Business is on the hunt for the most successful agencies in the business. This is your chance to help a hardworking agency gain the recognition it deserves for its hard work, commitment and contribution to the insurance industry—and it all starts by filling out this quick and easy nomination form.

If your retail agency is: 

•    Licensed in 30 or fewer states with ≥ $15 million in premiums annually + over 50% commercial business 
OR 
•    Licensed in all 50 states with ≥ $50 million in premiums annually + over 50%

You qualify as an elite agency!


You can nominate your own agency or one you’ve worked with in the past by completing the form and answering a few short questions. If you’re nominating yourself, you’ll also be asked to provide a few performance metrics about your agency. All financial information is confidential.

The list of winners will be recognized in IBA’s next issue, giving their business a boost through exposure to many of the nation’s top insurers and underwriters. Being recognized as an Elite Agency means being part of a global family of industry leaders profiled by Key Media. The recognition will not only raise an agency’s profile in the industry, it will serve as a valuable independent third-part endorsement that will be beneficial in marketing to new and existing clients.

Despite hardening markets and regulatory uncertainty, there are many success stories that need to be told—and agencies deserving of industry praise. Please help IBA identify those agencies and ensure their professional standing as one of the elite leaders in the insurance marketplace.
