Financial wellness crucial for company performance

Are you aware your employees struggling financially?

Not everyone is an expert in finance, understandably, but that does not mean your agency cannot gain access to education or the tools to assess and maintain control of their financial profile.

FinFit is an innovative solution to personal finances that is dedicated to providing innovative and comprehensive financial wellness solutions to America’s workforce, at little or no risk to employers.

“FinFit empowers employees with assessment tools, guidance and education to help implement and maintain financial fitness for them,” explained Jennifer Creech, Director of Business Development at FinFit. “We have a two-prong program. We also equip employees with an alternative to high cost credit, all while educating them to live within their means. In essence, we have all of the education that goes along with the solution.”

Additionally, the program provides training and relevant resources to ensure members reach and sustain a sound and secure financial future.

“It’s mandatory when an employee comes on to our site and they are looking to take out a solution that they take a personal assessment. The assessment goes through a series of questions and depending on their life stage, asks them some questions about their finances,” stated Creech. “Once they answer all the questions we then create a roadmap or action plan for them where they can get some financial footing. We also have a virtual learning center on our site, which again is for any life stage ranging from tax tips to student loan information.”

Although employers may be apprehensive about getting involved in their employees’ personal finances, it is exactly this lack of awareness that breeds continued neglect.

“The thing is creating the awareness. It’s basically a new benefit, financial wellness is obviously in the forefront of benefits right now, but having the awareness that employees are living paycheck to paycheck and people are financially strapped is key. If they [employers] are connected with their employees, then they get it. If there is a disconnect, it’s obviously about creating that awareness.”

FinFit has continually engaged insurance agents, brokers and providers to aid their office environments. If interested in learning more about FinFit and what it has to offer, the website can be found at https://www.finfit.com/.
