Insurance agency software provider Vertafore yesterday announced a partnership with DocuSign Inc. that will make available eSignature solutions for independent insurance agencies utilizing Vertafore technology.

The two companies say the partnership will allow insurance agents using Vertafore Agency PlatformTM and AMS360 to engage in faster transactions, reduce costs and increase client security and compliance, referencing a Big “I” study suggesting one-third of agencies have saved money by using paperless communication.

“The insurance industry is extremely relationship-centric and it’s imperative for agents on-the-go to be able to access what they need outside the office to avoid being tied down by paperwork,” said Greg Wright, Vertafore’s senior vice president of agency management systems. “Our partnership with DocuSign has enhanced the day-to-day operations of modern agents, enabling an end-to-end digital experience.

“In an industry known for lagging in its adoption of technology, we’re proud to be an advocate for driving change and encouraging the implementation of the best solutions available.”

A webinar is available Wednesday for agencies interested in the new integration.

Along with the DocuSign partnership, Vertafore also announced a new version of the Vertafore Agency Platform.

Vertafore Agency Platform 2015 integrates the DocuSign eSignature into the management system, as well as Vertafore technologies PL Rating and ReferenceConnect.

The company says the new version of the platform caters to agencies looking for benefits, comparative rating, document management, licensing and compliance and reference capabilities in one platform.
