A growing East Coast network group is continuing to expand, this week announcing the anointment of Beth Snyder Simpson as vice president, agency recruitment and development.

The newly minted role will help grow Agency Network Exchange (ANE)’s presence in New Jersey and other mid-Atlantic states, said CEO John Tiene.

“We continue to see great demand from agents in New Jersey and beyond who are looking for a network that will allow them to remain independent, grow their agency and build their business,” Tiene said. “Beth’s role is a critical part of advancing our strategic plan to expand from New Jersey to Massachusetts, Virginia and eastern Pennsylvania.”

Simpson is an insurance industry veteran with more than 20 years of business development experience working for insurers like United States Liability Insurance Group, Arthur Hall Insurance Group, CIGNA Property and Casualty and Chubb and Son.

ANE, meanwhile, has experienced significant organic growth, increasing from just seven members in 2009 to more than 40 independent agencies with more than $350 million in premiums. The group expanded into Pennsylvania and other mid-Atlantic states in 2014.

ANE paid more than $1.8 million in profit sharing to members last year.
