ACE Ltd. is continuing to announce appointments to vital leadership teams as it prepares to complete its acquisition of Chubb Group in the first quarter of 2016.

The insurer released the names of six people it plans to add to the new Chubb Overseas General Insurance division, led by Andrew McBride. It also announced various regional claims appointments.

Both groups of executives are heavily tilted toward existing ACE claims leadership. Just three of the appointments are Chubb employees.

The new leadership team, reporting to McBride, will include:
  • Julie Chalmers as senior vice president of professional lines and high net worth claims. Chalmers is currently senior vice president and international claims field operations manager for Chubb.
  • William Clark as senior vice president of accident and health and life claims. Currently, Clark serves as senior vice president of the same department for ACE Overseas General.
  • Michael Noonan as senior vice president of property and casualty claims. Noonan currently serves in the same position with ACE Overseas General.
  • Mitchell Sacks as senior vice president of claims performance development. He serves in the same position currently for ACE Overseas General.
  • Graham Chesman as vice president, multinational claims. Chesman is currently vice president, multinational claims for ACE Overseas General.
  • Gary Willoughby as vice president of personal lines claims. Willoughby is vice president of claims, personal and business insurance for ACE Overseas General. He will report jointly to Darryl Page, who will serve as vice president of the new Chubb Group and division president of personal lines as well as to McBride.
As for the regional appointments, ACE announced the following claims leaders:
  • Simon Priebbenow as vice president of claims for Latin America. He fills the same position for ACE currently, and will report jointly to Marcos Gunn, who will serve as president of the Northern Latin America Region, and chief operating officer for Latin America, and to McBride.
  • Kevin Yoo as senior vice president of claims for Asia Pacific. Yoo serves in the same role currently for ACE as will report jointly to McBride and Luis Ortega, who will serve as senior vice president of the new Chubb Group and regional president for Asia Pacific.
The claims team for ACE’s European Group will be announced at a later date.

McBride will report to Juan C. Andrade, executive vice president of ACE Group, Personal Lines and chief operating officer of ACE Overseas General, and Frank Lattal, chief claims officer for ACE Group.

Lattal celebrated the creation of the new team as “bringing together the best of ACE and Chubb”

“We will have an unmatched ability to manage claims around the world for our clients, from small and middle market businesses to high net worth individuals to multinational companies,” he said in a statement. “I am confident that Andrew and his team will continue to deliver an exceptional claims experience for our policyholders and our distribution partners.”
